Description: Though part of the new Amber it has very much the feel and look of the old or more traditional Amber. This has been Amber's fastest growing district and there is still much new constructions going on. The Brick district is dominated by Garnaths crimson colored bricks that by popular sentiment seem to be the only building material allowed.

Type of Homes: Tall brick town houses set in tight rows dominate the smartly laid out broad ways. The combine merchant lower residence upper structure, tend to dominate corners of even the most rural neighborhood.

Type of Roads: The roads of the brick district are made up of a green stone from cliff works far to the west of Amber. Though both beautiful and flat they are a bit slippery in the rain. The roads are laid out in sectional patterns creating many small neighborhoods and dead ends.

Make up of people: The brick district is strictly middle to lower class but the pride of "Brickers" is obvious in the way they keep their roads clean and well kept. Brickers are a strange exception to Amber's otherwise inclusive feeling Here they sing songs about brave "Brickers" and how they are the backbone of Amber.

History: The history of the brick district goes back to before the creation of the New Amber. During the early days of the Out Shadow wars the influx of people into Amber spilled out into what was a construction business dominated area called the bricks that was dominated by mason's and plasters of all kinds. It was construction of their own homes and the expansion of the brick district that made it obvious that something had to be done.

When the construction on the walls of New Amber started it was the brick district that fist organized into neighborhoods and laid out roads on their own. There was much infighting between the Brickers and Flora who was in charge of the building of the New Amber. In the end the bricks were allowed to go their own way to a point. The Brickers consider themselves the most important district of the new Amber and when they say new Amber in the brick they are talking about the other new districts that they do not feel the are a part of.

The Brick District has been honored with three great features that make them the envy of all of Amber. The Royal hall, living memorial to the fallen RBL, the spire of Oberon and the great University of Amber all have fueled the Brickers egos that they are truly the center of Amber.

Current Information: The Brick District is a rock study and all is well. They are pushing to expand the University and have just finished major aquifer construction so that all neighborhoods have perfect clean water and well drained waste.
