Astorville is rich in streams and rivers that have lead to the widespread cultivation. The Bocage is so named due to tradition that land holdings here be divided by large hedgerows. Roads are sunken affairs between the Hedgerows and only peek through at the gates of the villas, estates and farms. Through a massive canal program house Belon heavily invested in speeding up delivery of farm goods to the main city of Astorville. This has paid off handsomely and along with the many low income loans made for Mill construction and Dams, the Bocage is fast becoming the number one food producer.
There are many specialty products like Honey, Coffee, Tobacco also grown in abundance bring great richest to the regions. House Belon is the master of taxation as anyone in the Bocage with tell you. Though no one tax is very high it is annoying. They have invested heavily in Bocage and now they are waiting for the payoff.
Astorville is growing by leaps and bounds and is pulling skilled labor from all over the regions. Every type of craftsmen and skilled laborer is needed here. Hamlets are turning into towns, Towns into cities very quickly. House Belon rules from the very center of Astorville and is very much hands on managers.
Astorville has one weakness and that is it's port is too small and shallow. A major effort is under way to build a wide protective jetty and to dredge out the interior bay. This may take years and the only question is will House Belon come up with the money.

The Stone Rows: are a common feature and some times stretch out for miles. No one knows who erected them but they do not seem to be as old as many prehistory features around the territories seem to be. Some say they were set during the early time of Oberon.

Typical Canal: The Bocage is home to the largest canal network in the Amber Regions.
