The Name derives from the gold band of grains that grow along the coastal cliffs. The Gold Coast has always been one of the wealthiest regions around Amber. From the resort and vacation capital along the coast, the town of Tela plays host to the wealthy of GC during the hottest days of summer. The soil here is fertile and black so fertile in fact that gains and corn grow so fast some times three harvests can be had in single year. From the muddy cliffs along the ocean the brick works fill ship after ship bound for Amber with red fired brick ready to build a future.

House Orain also is a partner in the many breweries just outside of Amber. The Beerhouse fill endless barrels of ales, ports, stouts and lagers heading to the great city and beyond. The Gold Coast is noted for there petty bridge tolls but no one complains because all the bridges are there year round and they are great places to stop for the night because they are guarded.

The Aqueduct system of the Gold Coast is well known as the panicle of civilization allowing the extensive habitation of areas of the coast that would otherwise be barren.
