Haserain has always been important to Amber for it has the second largest deep port in the area, second only to Amber. Here the copper and silver mines of the coastal range ship heavily laden barges towards all points of the GC. Also Lumber is cut here for shipment in bulk to Amber.

            The population here hugs the coast where their fishing fleets are second to none. The sizable shipyard business here is geared towards the rapid production of small dependable fishing vessels of all types.

            The interior of the Flansberg is still a wild land and the back woods people of this region make it clear to any who wander into their lands that they are not wanted. These backwoodsmen are tough individuals who make their own rules and live by their own code. They trade furs and rare products of the back woods for what they need.

            House Loshan rules with a lose hand here. They collect tax but leave the running of the region up to local elected officials. As long as the tax's are collected House Loshan is happy. Because the population is sea going and mostly around the coast they see no reason to spend any more then a minimum on things like roads and bridges. 'Let the locals do that' is the way they feel. Loshan does not even maintain a home in Haserain the capital of Flansberg preferring to stay out of the problems of day to day management.

            People from Flansberg have a heavy almost southern accent that makes them instantly distinguishable wherever they go in the realm.
