Personal Description:  Halix Orain has changed more then any other member of the Nobles. Once an ardent monarchist then  moving with the times into an anti-RBL leader now returning to a more pro royal blood stance. This once passionate forceful leader has by his mid life realized that he has the ability to achieve what he wants by skill where he used to bull his way through.

He has also become a master at playing the popularity game and walks the fine line between support of many common causes and pandering for popularity. At one time a personal friend of King Random he has yet to achieve such a status with King Martin

Some feel that he has just suppressed his wild rages and outlandish ways behind a thin veneer. Those who know him best say he has changed for the better. To prove this they point to his support of the many benevolent organizations in Amber
