This union started it all. Three noble house being eclipsed by the greater houses forged a union through cross marriages and contractual agreement. Virtually over night they exploded into the rare air of Great Noble House power.
The ageing Lord Dawn related to all three houses by marriage or blood used his considerable influence to bring them together. Upon the completion of the Union talks Lord Dawn passed away at the very table where the talks were being finished.
In his honor each Noble house agreed to take his name.
Arkaris has proven themselves over years by valiant service and dedication to the throne of Amber. They have always been strongly dedicated to the success of Amber as well. They have always been far more progressive in their belief in investing in the city of Amber it's self. They were the first ones to promote the extension of the walls of Amber to the cliffs of Kolvir and they are now turning to the unofficial districts. Arkaris is also very involved in the GC and are always promoting peace and reconciliation. Arkaris has become a strong voice of enhancing the power of the courts who they see as key to the future safety of the GC.

House Kinsha Bayles is a synergistic combination of two smaller noble families that became so much more then they were ever alone. They also benefited from almost completer fanatical devotion to King Random. They have gone out of their way for every member of the RBL and is always willing to offer them support. Kinsha-Bayle is still more interested in production then in control but they have won great influence with the Labor Groups in Amber who they have helped organize and represent in legal problems. Kinsha-Bayles stock an trade is social participation and activity in Amber.

No house has greater influence inside of the city of Amber then the Greater house of Risto. This house is stronger now then ever and seems to only be getting stronger. Risto was once the strongest of houses in the noble pantheon but suffered greatly after several otherwise solid investments fell through. Not to mention their was a backing of Bleys and Corwin in the OSW that did not pay off very well. Since that time they have focused on regaining their prestige and strength in Amber with a vengeance. Despite some rather troublesome family members they have managed to make strong progress and are on the verge of regaining their footing as a greater house.
