2/9/03 – The Webmaster Cometh
Yeahhh, so I'm back. ::ducks projectiles:: Hey hey, at least most things are now back under control! (Except for poor Ysabet's entries. ::twitches:: So sorry, they'll be up soon! Really! I ought to give you a banner just for dealing with my stupidity.) Anyway, for those asking about when judging will start -- calm down. Enjoy the entries; take a walk; go bird-watching. Judges are currently being fitted for the best categories they can judge, and hopefully within two months this contest will have its winners.
Looking at the mostly-completed list, I must once again thank and congratulate all participants. I thought for one horrible horrible moment that this contest would be a total train wreck, but you all proved me wrong. Shame on me.

The contest is the pride and joy of Frances Marie, who wanted to see all the great DC fanfics in one easy to find place that didn’t suffer breakdowns (at least, not frequently), and who wanted to see more of them. She credits the Gundam Wing contest Nanashi for being Red Thread’s role model. She hopes we didn’t steal too much; it might look that way, but fanfic judging will always have similarities. The first contest (year 2003) began accepting entries in October 2002. Layout of the main page is by Anthia, who encouraged the idea, and to whom Frances thanks her lucky stars. You’re welcome to take this idea into other fandoms. If you have any comments or suggestions, let us know.
