Predicted Area Map

This program will plot a circle representing a predicted area on a United States basemap. It runs under Windows.

Once the .zip file has been extracted, click on the program to run it.

You will be asked for a latitude in decimal degrees, a longitude in decimal degrees and a radius in kilometers. Once they have been entered the map will appear. The red dots represent all the mag. 7+ quakes prior to 1998. That wasn't my idea; the map was obtained from the USGS Website and was the only Mercator I could find.

Remember that all US longitudes are negative numbers!

This program was suggested by Mike Mills of the Syzygyjob site and seems like a good idea.

Feedback is appreciated on this.

The file will be found on the Download page.
