My Mission Statement...

In a time where much of our visual experience was created using computers, I feel it is imperative to include images and objects in our environment that were made by human hands.  The imperfections remind us of our humanity.  A handmade thing is a connection to another human being.  I believe we crave this connection, and yearn for these tangible reminders. 

Art heals the soul, broadens the mind, engages our emotions.  It lets us feel alive and even special in this mass-produced world we live in.  I hope to provide art that is attainable for anyone by offering tiny paintings at affordable prices.  I sell only original works of art, so the one you purchase is the only one of it's kind.  It was created in real time and real space, with my own hands.  Don't get me wrong, I love my computer, and have even used it for other creative endeavors.  I have learned all kinds of things on the internet, and it is my method of getting these paintings out for you to find!  But it is rather sterile, and a bit impersonal.  When you purchase a work of art, you can hold it in your hand, feel the paper, smell the paint, look at it outside in the bright sunlight, or in the soft light of a candle.  It is subject to forces of nature.  It can be protected, it can be damaged.  It is a part of our actual world.  The virtual world is a nice substitute, if you can't get the real thing, but I hope to help make the real thing a possibility for everyone.

5/10/04  Sorry I haven't added anything to the site in so long.  It has been a very sad and difficult year for me personally.  My father died.  I hope to get back to painting someday, hopefully soon.  In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy the galleries.
