Here are some tips on how to be a considerate and good ctoon trader with lots of sucessful trades and happy customers.
1. Let your co-trader know that you are there. Send them a message "You go
first", "Wait, I'm thinking", or whatever you like. This lets the
person know that you are alive and looking to trade.
2. Try to give the trade room enough time to load. We all have different
connection speeds and the room will always take a long time if your or your
co-trader's inventories are large. Take this into consideration before giving up
on a trade. You may walk out on someone with a TON of good toons to trade.
3. Never leave the trade room without sending some sort of message.
"Bye-Bye" and "I'm leaving" are nice but "I don't see
anything I like" is acceptable. No one is happy when they are walked out
on. Even if the room hasn't loaded hitting the 'Send' button will send a
message.
4. Be reasonable in your trading. You are more than likely not going to get a
cring for a starter toon, or something recently on sale. If you want something
rare or expensive you should be willing to give up something rare or expensive.
5. Before accepting any trade make sure that all the ctoon pics have loaded.
Some traders like to try and slip in a rare toon and accept before the pics
loads in an attempt to 'steal' from you. Don't be one of these traders and don't
be taken by one.
6. Complete the trade. If you say "Please accept this trade" or
"Hit the accept button, please!" then be willing to hit it yourself or
hit it first.
7. Stick around for another trade. Don't take off immediately. If you would like
to trade again, clear the trade floor or your co-trader may clear it to start
another trade. Trading again saves time in finding someone to trade with and
also trade room loading time. And it's fun :)
