ScramDisk For Windows...W95/98/MEScramDisk v3.01r3c (190 kb) Source (380 kb) You know it; you love it...Shaun Hollingworths classic super app! When this program is used in its "Traveler" mode, every floppy, zip-disk or cd-r you possess can be an encrypted modular hard-drive! My favourite program; and one which has never failed me on 98/ME systems. This version works faultlessly on all Win95/98/ME systems to encrypt whole partitions; or create encrypted containers on your hard drive or removable media. Scramdisk 3.01 makes encrypted containers that are invulnerable to all password-cracking attacks when Scramdicer from The Scramdisk Toolkit is used with it. |
Encryption for The MassesE4M v.2.02a (465 kb) Source (451 kb) Paul Le Roux' own incredible contribution to personal privacy! This works on NT and W2K systems in addition to 95/98/ME...and with a little creative juggling of file-wipers and exported reg-files, it can be made to work in a kind of Traveler mode. The blending of this app with Scramdisk has produced the more versatile DriveCrypt...the commercial successor to both programs. E4M still has many miles left in it, tho', especially for those people running NT or W2K; and like Scramdisk 301, is a formidible addition to any toolkit! Scramdicer works with this one too, as well as with DriveCrypt! |
NEW! dsSFV v1.20 (23.7 kb) This updated version of the digital file signature application, dsSFV.exe, has an installer version included in this archive, as well as the plain executable. The installer will add dsSFV to the shell menu context tools; and it will verify an existing *.sfv list. It installs to "c:/windows/command" (95/98/ME) or "c:\Winnt\System32\Unknown" in W2K.dsSIGPAK (22.7 kb) ...dsSHA, dsCRC, dsSFV, and dsMD5 Digital Signature Utilities A collection of all four (4) tiny, yet fully functional digital signature applications from DS Software (Thanks!) that offer the capacity for a user to verify the integrity of the files and folders on the hard-drive and removable media. They are tightly coded, and the smallest examples of such programs in the Windows world. All four can be used with drag-and-drop or from a command-line; depending upon your preference. All will save the results to the clipboard, or a plain text-file. When running any of these from a command-line, if a forward slash [/] precedes a filename, the signature will be saved automatically to a text-file. You can press [Esc] to quickly quit any of the four apps. |
Registry Backup/Wipe/Restore for Win95/98/MERegBack1, with Scorch.com (5 kb) RegBack2, with Eraserd.exe (30 kb) Two sets of batch files, one with the file-wiper Scorch.com (fast) and another set with Eraserd.exe (slower...but more efficient) both of which will back up your registry to a folder; and then upon a reboot of the computer, they run DOS commands from the Autoexec.bat at startup to erase the contents of your static swap-file, wipe the old registry files, and restore a clean registry to the system from previously sanitised files in their registry backup folder. They clean up your system before Windows even loads. This gets rid of extraneous reg keys from temporary software installations, nullifys pesky run commands from trojans and virii, and eliminate web-surfing tracks and all other information relating to your usage of the computer; everything that was logged into the registry since the last time the files are run. In addition, Regback2 will destroy all the cookies, history lists and "index.dat" files in the Windows dir; or any other self-replicating files you may find that log your personal usage statistics. |
Aspack File CompressorAspack v1.04b (124 kb) This beta was the last freeware version of this compressor for executables (exe's and dll's), before it went commercial...the Scramdisk3.exe, for instance, will compress down to 160Kb with this app and still function flawlessly...this will protect it from many types of virus's. This thing achieves from 30-70% compressions...50-70 being the norm. Single exe, drag'n drop, as well as shell integrated. Makes backups. (Doesn't work on the SD.vxd.) UnAspack DecompressorUnAspack v2.0 (70 kb) Safely uncompresses anything you process with Aspack v.1.04b., if Aspacking it didn't work out (unlikely) you merely need to run it through this app to get back to normal. There are newer versions of these two programs out there; but these particular ones have no bugs that I could see and work perfectly to reduce the sizes of executables. |
