For those of you who have been visiting this site for years, you know exactly what T.G.O.P. stands for. Through the Gates of Paradise.
Back to TopWhy T.G.O.P.?
A few years ago this site was simply knows as "Shay's V.C. Andrews Site." *Yawn* So one day I started a contest and you wouldn't believe the feedback and ideas I received from everyone! It was amazing and difficult to chose but one phrase stood out above the rest:
Through the Gates of Paradise.
Over the past years, I have found the title to be quite lengthy to type, even though I adored it. I started abbreviating it in my website updates. It just seemed to catch on a lot faster -- thus turning the site into simply T.G.O.P.
Back to TopWhy did you change your site layout again?
Each year, as T.G.O.P.'s anniversary passes by, I have changed the layout. This will be its fourth layout change and by far the best in my opinion. I search for something that will be not only easy on the eyes but also fun and organized. Although I loved the last layout with the color scheme of teal, red, white and black, this one just appealed to me so much more. I hope you agree.
Back to TopWhy do you have so much on this site?
I have been asked this question so frequently that I thought I would take the time to answer it on the site instead of in tons of emails. I have been reading V.C. Andrews since I was thirteen which was MANY years ago. Almost four years ago, I was given online access for the first time in my life and when I searched the net for V.C. Andrews related information, it was scarce (especially compared to the large amount that have surfaced in the past two years).
I just thought, what better to do with my spare time than to devote a site to my favorite author and also for her large fan base. Originally, the site started out tiny with only information regarding the Logan series. Can you believe that!? Some of you out there probably even remember it back then. *wink* But over the years it has just grown and grown and I couldn't be happier with it!
Back to TopDo you have any other favorite authors?
Actually I am an avid reader of Anne Rice's works and as I have grown older, I have moved into the horror genre much more than I did as a teenager.
I also adore Douglas Clegg's books. Every once and a while you might catch me reading Fannie Flagg or Taylor Smith but for the most part, I spend my time (and money) reading horror related books.
Back to TopHow can I know when you update this site?
I used to offer a mailing list but I just don't have the time any longer to send out update announcements. For updates, check out the Update Section on this site.
Back to TopCan I borrow anything from your site?
Without asking permission - NO! I have worked extremely hard for four years now to keep this site as original as possible and to borrow without permission means to "steal." However, if you would email me for express permission, I am usually pretty lenient about "borrowing." Please do so at shayruby@yahoo.com.

Over the years we have won numerous from sites that have come and gone. Happily though, T.G.O.P. won an award from Horrorfind.com that I proudly display below.
