In 1994 Hotsumi Terakawa started his own company in Ammerzoden. Bonsai Institute Terakawa teaches the art of Bonsai on the traditional way. Here you find the roots of the art of Bonsai without travelling to Japan. Starting as well as more experienced pupils can follow the lessons from Hotsumi Terakawa.

The lessons are given for groups, but private lessons are also possible. During the courses you learn the theoretical and ethical aspects of the art of Bonsai. You learning the philosophy of Bonsai, the most important base forms and how to maintain and nurse the trees. And of course under supervision you learn how to form Bonsai.
