Bonsai club  "Sho Ryu Kai"
In the year 2000 (the year of the Dragon)  the Bonsai club “SH Ryu Kai” or “the Rising Dragon” has been foundered under the guidance of Hotsumi Terakawa. There is a halt on recruitment of new members at 54. The purpose of the club is to create a stronger bond between the pupils of Hotsumi and to rise the art of Bonsai to a higher level. The club also wants to organize at least one exhibition each year where every member shows at least one tree. 
Only (former) pupils of Hotsumi Terakawa can become a member of this club. The program of the club also contains several cosy meetings where members (from several courses of Hotsumi) can meet and get to know each other. During this meetings one can follow workshops, see demonstrations from well-known European Bonsai masters and hear lectures about related forms of art. Visits to large European Bonsai exhibitions are motivated.
