Q: Why the 1980's? A: Why not? Well actually because the 80's were a fun decade to write about that I also remember well. I mainly chose them because I wanted to write music/video reviews and improve my writing skills, but there was so much about modern stuff mine would have been swamped in it all. Also I wanted a page about stuff I like, and since i'm mostly interested in older stuff it would have to be about the 80's. Q: When did you create this page? A: 15th of June 2001, in about the time it takes to listen to both Part one and two of The Orchestral Tubular Bells LP! NOTE: This isn't the origional design, it's changed several times. Q: What is your email because I desperately need to send you information about a new idea / suggestion / complaint / review / recommendation / FAQ question / strange growth hormone or car and home insurance? A: Since you asked nicely here it is; Ben02@thefreeinternet.co.uk Q: why the green colour scheme? A: Mainly because I find overly bright sites with white backgrounds quite painful to look at even with the contrast down. Besides what reminds you of the 80's more than a sickly green monitor display? Q: How did you program the site, i've noticed it's quite plain? A: Basically I chose out of convince to use the HTML editor that came with windows, yes it's tedious and hard to update, but from the point of view of someone who has the patience to regularly program a commodore PET it's quite adequate. As for being plain, well why not have an easy to use and quick to load site? I don't want to contribute to the World Wide Wait, we don't realy need yet another site that won't load on old PCs and thinks it's better to use java for links and pointless animations.
