Films: As with any other
decade in our modern cinema influenced culture,
the 80's had films that reflected the style and
changing attitudes of their generation. I have
some fun memory's of watching such films as
'Desperately seeking Susan' or 'War Games' and
'Ferris Bulers day off', and some of being scared
witless by 'Phantasam' and 'Hellraiser'. Also
just being plain confused by 'Dune'. Never the
less, films throughout the 80's obviously played
an important part in pop-culture, particularly
with the new home video systems (all billion that
were not even slightly compatible!) Since people
were watching and enjoying more films than ever
before, as shown by the enormous range and
variety of films made in this decade. There have
been many great films before and after, but still
some of the most colorful and interesting belong
to the 80's. Maybe its the plot or the
characters, or just the humongous gravity defying
hair and gaudy lycra? But they totaly couldn't
have happened in any other time zone, so here
they are now in the 80's Vortex 1980's Movie
