The Money Pit This film features Tom Hanks doing what he's all ways done best, comedy. When Walter Fielding and his wife Anna buy their dream house for $200,000 off the lovely old, eccentric Estelle. They think the've got a wonderful bargain, just a touch of paint and some DIY, yeah right! The moment they move in the special effect department start with the hysterically funny comedey-spoof scenes where it all falls down. Estelle who is like everyone's theatrical grannie, has conned them out of $200.000 borrowed money, and trying in vain to resurrect the old hovel they start to fall down money pit. + Funny, witty and a good laugh - It is silly, but you can't hold that against a comedy spoof! |
