Can't find that elusive stylus,
just can't find a electrical shop that even sells
them? Old VCR need new parts? Run out of betamax
tapes? OK, not exactly fun exciting scenarios!
But these problems crop up every day in
households, and without help these problems are
tricky to solve. I can say been there done that,
it's not so easy to keep your older things. So
here's some links that took me ages to find, but
have proved totally invaluable. Record stylus: Many shops don't sell them any more, and if they do the price can be outrageous. I was quoted £15 for one stylus that I used to replace for £3.80 not so long ago! Stylus World - Reasonable prices that beat the retail shops with a huge range from old to new -UK Canadian Astatic - Good product range, helpfull staff. Also sell cartridges -US VCR parts: Old VCRs do wear out, but these links help you learn how to repair them and find the parts saving you money. Diy VCR Parts - Good large selection at nice prices. -US Telepart & Economic Devices - They even have parts for my 20 year old VHS VCR here, and my sanyo betamax. -UK Absolute Beta - What more do I need to say, a current betamax club! They sell tons of tapes and players too. -US Note: I think american betamax and VHS tapes will play in England with a cheap adaptor, but I need to test this. Other:
