Seeking hot, experimental literature with an edge! Tired of can-lit poems about wheat fields and marigolds? Got a provocative story, a peculiar poem, dizzying prose ripe with candor and main street wit? We want crucial, raw, energetic offerings that remake language and turn conventions on their head.
GUIDELINES
Prose: Entries can be 10 pages max, double-spaced. Maximum two stories per entrant.
Poetry: Three poems maximum. Prose poetry and cross genre pieces welcome provided they do not exceed ten pages in length and are specified as either prose or poetry for judging purposes. You maybe also submit an audio recording of a poem, 3mins maximum.
PRIZES
Prose:
First Place: $50 and story published in TRADE magazine.
Second and third place stories will be published in TRADE magazine.
Honorable mentions will be published on the Trash and Ready website.
Poetry:
