“Pokémon Card e” Spoiler
By: Usagi-chan [ usagi5886@yahoo.com ]
DESCRIPTION:
This is a spoiler for the Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion “Pokémon Card e”. It was released on December 1, 2001. This document contains translations for every card in the set and additional otherwise determinable information (such as Retreat Cost). I have chosen not to discuss the “Card e Reader” released on the same day, because there is already much information about it around the Internet.
DETAILS:
- A Pokémon Power on these cards is now either called a “PokéPower” (PokePawâ) or a “PokéBody” (PokeBodî) instead of a “Special Ability” (Tokushu Nôryoku), like it used to. I believe that, usually, the PokéBodies are Powers that work as long as the Pokémon using it remains in play and PokéPowers are Powers that you choose to use. The PokéBodies have a green logo and the PokéPowers have an Orange logo. I have chosen to reflect this change by calling them by the new names.
· I tried to make the layout of each card as close to the actual cards as I could. I also designed this format to look best when printed out and flipped through, and thus it may well be best used in this way.
· By the way, card 63, “Duplica,” is the Ditto trainer in the anime.
· The card sequence is by the card number now being printed on the card. For this set, it goes rarity in ascending order (C, U, R, H), then by color in the order (G, R, W, L, P, F, C, D, M, T), and finally by Pokémon number in ascending order (1-251). Use this for quick reference.
· The only thing I left off was the ID # (and the Pokémon species, height, & weight, which are only on the holos). I did not omit the levels or flavor text; they haven’t been on cards from recent sets.
· Keep in mind I don’t own any e cards at the moment. All these translations come from scans at various anonymous locations on the Internet.
- I have seen a few inaccuracies (some easy mistakes) on other spoilers. After composing this spoiler, I double-checked it to see if these differences were mistakes I made. Therefore, feel safe knowing this information is almost entirely accurate.
CONTACT:
· There still may be a few typographical errors in this spoiler. If you see any (from a word not bolded to incorrect attack text), please e-mail me. This excludes naming an attack differently, unless you can prove it is an error or you feel strongly about the change.
· My e-mail address is usagi5886@yahoo.com. (Unfortunately, I don’t have an Internet site of my own at the time.) Any further scans, questions, etc. from this set or any are welcome. Please, serious e-mails only (no flaming, viruses, spam, etc.).
· I usually read and respond to all my e-mails for the week every Saturday or Sunday, so please be patient if you do not get a response immediately.
· You might see me on Pojo’s message board every once in a while. My name there is “x Usagi-chan x” (since Usagi-chan and an many variants were already taken).
COPYRIGHT:
· This took a while, so: Do NOT copy this file and put it on your site! Do NOT link to it. Do NOT distribute it in any way without giving me credit (This includes patches for the program “Apprentice,” and posting on message boards.) Feel free to change this ONLY for your own personal use. It may be reproduced, but ONLY with my written consent. Thanks for your cooperation.
· This was entirely created by Usagi-chan. Any likeness to other spoilers is coincidental.
· This spoiler is unofficially made. There may be errors, and sometimes Wizards of the Coast changes cards for a number of reasons.
