This is my family:
my wife, my son and me.

Ph.D. in Institute for Nuclear Research, Kiev, Ukraine.
Student of physics department of Kiev University, 1992 - 1997.

My specialization is solid state physics.
The theme of my work is simulation of atom and defect dynamics in nonequilibrium crystals. I really like to simulate different processes.

I am programmer also. I know C++, Java, Basic, Pascal and some other. I used to write my own programs for my physical tasks.

I have written some applets.

All these applets were simple toys. Here is more complex thing (also with applets).

I need your help.

The last work I have participated was about time and space instabilities in ordered binary alloys under irradiation by K.C.Russell, V.I.Sugakov and me. It has been found that in such alloys the large number of antisite defects being accumulated during irradiation may result in uniform stationary values of defect concentrations and temperature being unstable. Time instabilities are connected with the acceleration of antisite defect relaxation due to the heat that releases during this relaxation. The instability leads to appearance of self-oscillations of defect density and temperature of crystal. Space instability arises due to interaction between defects created by irradiation. It leads to spatial periodical modulation of antisite defect density.

Now I am looking for the parameters of real alloys. For instance I need the point defect creation energies and diffusion parameters (activation energies and preexponential factors). This information will help us to simulate and find instabilities in real alloys. If you can help me with such information and give me a link, e-mail me and I'll be very glad.

Previous activity

I have an experience in performing MD simulation. For instance I simulated the crystal damage just after interaction with high-energy particle. I worked with binary semiconductors (GaAs) as well as with simple crystals (Pd and so on).

If you have comments, questions, recommendations or critics, do not hesitate to e-mail me to vvmih@ukrpack.net.
