Wavelength: The distance between two crests (peaks) or two troughs (valleys) on the same wave. Denoted as λ. Visual light has a range of wavelength from red light, at about 750 nm (nanometers, considered a long wavelength), to violet light, which has a wavelength of about 380 nm (considered a short wavelength).
