Air Planes

In WWII, planes were still a fairly new invention and the idea of using them in war was even newer.  One of the more common planes used in this battle was the Ju 52.  This plane could carry anything from bombs to men to food and supplies.  The Germans had faced problems while drving thses planes.  They were not used to the cold weather and had difficulties when their planes would freeze up or fog.

Tanks

Another fairly new invention to use in WWII was the tank.  An estimated 2,000 tanks were used in the battle of Stalingrad.  Although the tank was still new, it was able to cause descent damage and death in this battle.
